Nautilus-Elementary 2.30 For Lucid gets a PPA

Nautilus-Elementary developer – and by developer I mean super hard working superhero developer –ammonkey has just pushed Nautilus-Elementary 2.30 into the Nautilus-Elementary PPA.

Many features have been added since the builds for Karmic – including some sexy view switching buttons, support for Nautilus’ split pane and and even more sleek toolbar.

Adding and installation is simple: –

  • sudo add-apt-repository ppa:am-monkeyd/nautilus-elementary-ppa
  • sudo apt-get update
  • sudo apt-get upgrade

Thanks for pointing this out! This view switcher widget takes up as much space as the original but allows you to switch modes with one click rather than two as well as one precise movement rather than two precise movements. Why isn’t the default like this? Afraid they’ll too closely resemble OSX? This also seems to eliminate some of the border-clutter that is going on with Nautilus. Overall, a complete improvement but for all of the breadcrumb buttons being in the same state.

I think Nautilus-elementary gonna be default in Maverick 10.10 🙂
