downloaded and installed
simple-clock-gl_5.11-gericom2_all.deb
on 64 bit ubuntu 10.10+macbuntu without any problems but how do i set time to us -12 hour format ?

so just open, with gedit as root, one of these files, and play with the variables, save them, chmod+x the new file name and then see the result 
/usr/share/applications/screensavers/simple-clock-gl-wired.desktop
